Hidden Within- Kid X Chrona part 3

Soul walked in giving Maka a resentful expression. Maka only sighed as Black*star and Tsubaki followed in as well. Even Black*star had a serious expression for once across his face.
"Well... you wanna go find our friends?" Maka said sadly.
"You mean take that girl from Kid? You can't be serious Maka!" Soul questioned. Tsubaki gave a horror struck look.
"Is Liz and Patty with them as well?" Tsubaki questioned.
"Most likely, those to have a high respect for Kid, they have strayed from authority before, they probably have more loyalties to Kid then Lord Death. We on the other hand have to stay loyal to Lord Death, we've got to try to talk to Kid" Maka said there was sadness in her voice. "I-I really don't think of Chrona as any such threat but if Lord Death dose I suppose what has to be done, has to be done." Maka muttered. It was obvious that the platinum blonde had some attachment to Chrona. Tsubaki frowned.
"I didn't talk with her ever but the way you make it sound, shes pretty much innocent." Tsubaki said sounding a tad bit angry.
"I agree, but we should at least talk to Kid before we decide what we are going to do." Soul said. The group had accessed the situation. They had to find Kid and Chrona and determine for themselves if Chrona was really a threat like Lord Death had said.
"I'll inform Lord Death that we are going after Kid, I won't say anything about having to choose were are loyalties lie." Maka sighed.
A dusty landscape passed under Kid's bored as he moved quicker and quicker.
"Do you even no where we are going Kid?" Liz asked bored. Patty just giggled.
"I can't say I do. Where can we go?" Kid asked.
"I don't know but the last place we need to be is in the middle of nothing but desert." Liz answered. "Can we stop here?" Liz asked just as the bored stopped landing on the ground.
"We have no choice the bored needs to charge anyways." Kid explained.
"Great now we are going to be stuck in the middle of no where over night." Liz whined.
Liz and Patty transformed out of gun mode stretching out and yawning. Kid again frowned.
"If we walk far enough right I think there is a small village of monks maybe we can try to hide out there' Kid said starting to walk Chrona's shaky hand in his own.
"All this is not necessary... I don't mind living in the cell" Chrona said. She had assumed that was the reason for there sudden escape from the city.
"Is that what this is all about...?" Liz sighed.
"No its not. My dad ordered me to collect Chrona's soul. I refused end of story. All we need to be concerned with is getting Chrona as far away from the city as possible." Kid explained.
"But why? Chrona is harmless" Liz asked.
"My dad thinks she is really fooling everyone.. maybe he thinks she'll try to get revenge or something." Kid explained.
Maka stepped in the Death room full of worry, she never thought she would be lying to Lord Death. Lord Death greeted her. With a normal "Wassssup!" But it did not hide that he was troubled by his son's refusal to meet his order.
"Scythe-mister Maka requesting permission to go after Kid in pursuit of the Demon Sword's soul. I intend to also take Black*star and Tsubaki and of course my partner." Maka formally asked.
"Of course you may, you no that going after Kid could severely ruin your friendship with my son?" Lord Death asked. Maka only nodded with a determined look on her face.
"I think Kid headed west towards Death Valley" Lord Death said knowing his son a little to well. Maka nodded again rushing out to go get prepared for the trip.
It had started to get to dark and Kid had been prepared for staying out at night pulling out a small box in his bag. He pulled it and it popped out to become a well sized tent. The four crowded inside eating granola bars and water for dinner before laying down to try to sleep.
Chrona kept between Liz and Patty and Kid. She saw the two as possible threats towards the way Kid and her where. The two were both beautiful and it shocked her that Kid had made a move on her but not one of his weapons. Kid on the other hand stayed awake listening to every sound outside worried that his father sent out a search party, little did he know the kind of search party he would soon incounter.
